Your first nail extensions: choosing a comfortable length and shape
Perhaps you want longer nails for an occasion, or simply feel like trying a new shape. You do not need every answer before your first set. Part of my work is showing you the options and helping you find a comfortable starting point.

When might this be right for you?
You want added length, a different shape or nails for a special occasion. If this is your first set, I will help you choose a length that feels comfortable in daily life.
Why might the length in your photo not be the first step?
A photo shows how nails look, but not what typing, dressing or doing your usual work feels like with them. If you have always worn short nails, a length you can get used to comfortably is a useful starting point. We can adjust it later based on your own experience.
I explain the different effects of almond, square and softer rounded shapes. Before choosing the length, I also look at your natural nails. You do not have to fit yourself to a trend: together we look for something that feels beautiful and fits your everyday life.
What can you expect at my salon?
We start by assessing your natural nails and discussing your ideas and daily activities before choosing length and shape.
Almond, square and softer rounded shapes each create a different look. I explain the options and my recommendations. Very short bitten or damaged nails need prior discussion; we may need to start with a shorter length.
What should you include when booking?
For your first visit with existing product on your nails, book removal alongside extensions. This allows time for careful removal and your new set. Select nail art separately too.
