Reinforced gel polish: when is reinforcing your natural nails enough?

If you like your natural nail length and mainly want a neat shape, reinforcement and a beautiful colour, reinforced gel polish is a useful starting point. Wanting a more consistent finish does not automatically mean you need extensions.

When might this be right for you?

You would like to reinforce your natural nails while keeping their existing length. You can choose colour or a subtle, natural-looking finish.

We discuss how you use your hands, including work, housework, gardening and daily habits, to decide whether this technique suits you.

02

Why do I ask about your everyday routine?

The right technique depends on more than an inspiration photograph. I also consider how you use your hands, what work you do and which shapes feel comfortable to you. Our first conversation helps me recommend something you will enjoy wearing in daily life.

With reinforced gel polish, I work at your existing natural length. If you want longer nails or a more substantial structural change, another service may be a better fit. Choosing is not a test: tell me the result you want and I will help you match it to the names in the booking system.

03

What can you expect at my salon?

After careful preparation, I apply a reinforcing layer and your chosen colour and finish. Minor unevenness can be smoothed while working with your natural nails. More substantial shape corrections may call for gel reinforcement.

This service does not add length. We plan your next visit around nail growth and condition.

Size S reaches the fingertip; size M extends beyond it. Nail beds vary, so please ask if unsure. If we cannot speak beforehand, select the larger size and we will confirm the appropriate category in person.

What should you include when booking?

For your first visit with product applied by another technician, also book removal. Add any separately offered nail art or repairs so there is time for everything.
