How to keep your nails beautiful between appointments

A long-lasting manicure does not end at the salon. Daily care of the cuticles and hands, together with a few mindful habits, makes a real difference to how your nails look and feel at your next appointment.

Make cuticle oil a daily habit

Massage a small drop of cuticle oil into the skin around each nail once or twice a day. Regular care helps keep the skin soft and flexible, reducing dry, uncomfortable areas around the nail folds.

Use the oil on clean, dry hands. Evening after handwashing is an easy time to build it into your routine; follow with a richer hand cream for the rest of the skin.

02

Water, chemicals and mechanical stress

Wear well-fitting gloves for cleaning, washing up and prolonged wet work. Frequent soaking and strong household chemicals can dry the skin, while heavy mechanical stress also tests the edges of the coating.

Your nails are not tools. Use the right tool to open boxes, scrape labels or prise up lids. This small habit can prevent many breaks and painful snags.

03

What if a nail is damaged?

Do not pull even a small lifted area or secure it with household glue. Protect it from water, avoid activities that may catch it and contact me promptly so we can decide whether a repair is enough or removal is safer.

Before your next appointment, do not cut deeply into the skin around the nail or file the natural nail surface. This lets me see what happened clearly and choose the gentlest solution.
