Which nail shape suits your hands?
The most flattering nail shape complements your fingers, can be built securely on your natural nails and does not restrict daily life. The same shape can therefore behave very differently on two hands.
Soft square and oval: practical classics
Soft square creates a neat, contemporary look at short or medium length and can be especially flattering on wider nail plates with straighter sidewalls. Oval is softer, can visually lengthen the fingers and feels comfortable thanks to its rounded edge.
Both shapes work with many designs: classic in nude, distinctive in a bright colour and elegant with a fine French tip.
Almond and ballerina: when length shapes the silhouette
Almond creates a slender, feminine line but usually needs some length for a balanced curve. On very short nails, the point may feel disproportionate. Ballerina has straighter sides and a narrow flat tip, so it works best on medium or longer extensions.
A dramatic shape brings more responsibility: without the correct structure, product distribution and timely infills, extra length can become uncomfortable.
Your daily routine makes the choice personal
If you type a lot, play sport, work in gloves or do frequent manual tasks, a shorter rounded shape may be more comfortable. A longer almond or ballerina can be a beautiful option for a special look when planned well.
