What does professional salon hygiene mean?
A beautiful result is truly valuable only when it is supported by a safe working process. Professional hygiene runs through the entire salon routine and means much more than quickly wiping the table.
Cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation
These three terms are not interchangeable. Visible debris must first be physically removed, followed by the appropriate disinfection stage and then high-temperature sterilisation of suitable metal instruments. No stage replaces another.
Single-use means single-use
Some files, buffer surfaces and other items cannot be sterilised adequately, so disposable options are required. The work surface, lamp and frequently touched points must be prepared carefully between clients.
An organised table is not simply more elegant. It also helps keep every step traceable and separates the path of used instruments from clean ones.
The client can help too
Arrive with clean hands, but avoid greasy cream immediately before the treatment. Tell me in advance about injuries, sensitivity, unusual discolouration or any nail concern so we can make a safe decision.
A potentially infected or inflamed area must not be hidden under cosmetic product. The first step is appropriate medical assessment, not a new set.
