Glass effect, cat-eye and delicate chrome
Modern nail art increasingly plays with light: translucent depth, moving shimmer and precise metallic accents. The finish stays premium when the technique supports rather than overwhelms the natural beauty of the hand.
Jelly and milk glass: translucent layers
A jelly finish creates transparent, gel-like depth; milk glass softens it with a fine milky veil. Built in several thin layers, the colour stays clear while the nail retains its natural play of light.
Burgundy, smoky grey, caramel and pink each create a very different mood. The effect feels fresh on short nails and dramatic, almost jewel-like, on longer almond shapes.
The cat-eye beam moves with you
Magnetic pigments are directed before curing to create a beam or velvety glow that changes as the hand moves. Precise magnet placement determines whether the effect is narrow, soft or deep.
It appears bold and high-contrast over a dark base, or subtler over nude and translucent shades. Two accent nails may be enough for everyday wear, while a full set can be striking for an occasion.
Chrome is now a detail rather than full coverage
A fine metallic curve, French tip or framed accent brings modern light to the composition without becoming too much. Champagne gold feels warm, silver cool, and pearl chrome harmonises with almost any base.
Light effects can be combined, but choose one lead feature. If the cat-eye is strong, keep chrome delicate; if glass-like depth is central, leave enough translucent surface visible.
